Default craftsman jack

I'm working on a solution for dynas and craftsman jack
I know about widening the supports, but I need to keep
The width the same so I can use my baggithard stand
What do you think? I still need to work out my measurements.

D,
I think that`s a good idea.

I ended up modding my jack the usual way by extending the arms but before I read about that usual mod, I was thinking somewhere along these lines:
A template that I could just lay on top of the current arms so all the weight would still be distributed evenly on the length of the arms.
Sort of like this:

How would you compensate for the height difference where the extra lip is protecting the oil pan?

I was just going to say that height may be an issue.
Good idea though!

I believe that`s why I used Longhair`s mod.

I use a 2X4 on the jack for the front of the bike. Easy to use, stable and easy to remove so the jack can be used for my other bike. Can't figure why everyone has so much trouble with their jacks.

I dont have problems with my J&S, Im just trying to make the craftsman work with a stand i have.
I see you say you use a 2x4 up front but what about the back that oil pan protector lip hits before the other frame rail.

I use 3 pieces of 4" long 2x4 at the 3 corners, and a matching sized piece of 3/4" plywood at the right rear.
Works for me.

Harley made a lift adapter for '99 and later model Dyna's. Part number 98965-99. I don't know if that's what you are looking for but it worked fine on my craftsman jack.
