I have an 07 Street Bob that I bought a month or so ago. I notice it rattles quite a bit when going over bumps. Seems like it either comes from the front end or just under the gas tank somewhere. I had an 02 Super Glide and it did it too but not as much as the 07. Anyone else have this with their Dyna? Is there an easy fix or something I can do to stop it or lessen it?
Had the same problem myself once after it had been in the shop. They didn't have the tank bolts tight enough. Kinda pissed me off, I ended up having to be a passenger for a day, which I'm not really good at.
My 2008 Fatbob has an annoying rattle when hitting bumps. It is the gas cap. It fits tight and seals but it rattles like hell. If I put my hand on it when going over bumps the rattle is gone. Too bad they arent all that easy to fix!

My 15 Street Bob does the same thing. Once I figured it out, it dosn't really bother me anymore but there is an easy fix for it, you turn the gas cap over and hammer in the edges a bit to tighten it up, it's on the forum here somewhere.
++1 re the tank bolts - I swore I had a clunk from the front suspension, I went all over it looking for its cause and nada-zilch.
It was the rear tank mount bolt. Even though it was a good couple of feet away from the forks (and literally right under my nose), it sounded like it was coming from way-forward somewhere.
Had the same exact issues, tank tightened, problem solved. Look there first.
