Just waiting on paint, mounted right up. I hated the big *** stock fender. Now I am trying to sell it to someone with a fatboy, they look really good on fatboys and mount right up.
Derik,
When looking online, it shows the outside mounting distance for softail slims as 7. I want to put one on my switchback but I measured the outside mounting points of the stock fender and they are 6 9/16. Do the mounting tabs just get bent in??
There is a difference in the trees, wideglide trees, FLH trees and bagger trees are 9-7/8 wide and softails are 9-1/2 wide....hence the difference in fender widths....the switchback uses the wider trees.
You could always add small spacers....to get the fender to fit ....

Thanks for the response crusader, but what Im experiencing is the opposite of what you described. From what I read online to what I measured, is the slim fender mounting tabs are wider than whats on my switchback. Instead of adding spacers it seems that Id have to bend them in to make it the tabs a tad closer in distance to fit in the forks.
Just looked at a pic of a slim, looks like it should fit without issue as the switchback is running the widest trees Harley makes but they are 41mm tubes, not sure what tube size the slim is, also is there a chance you receive a damaged fender, damaged in that someone pulled the mounting tabs out from their original position?
