04FXDI. Bike feels squirrely in and out of the corners, just normal solo back road riding and highway. Spoke with David Quinn (Hagon) today about a shock upgrade. All points led to a 13" Nitro, but being vertically challenged I cant afford that. After a short period of time on the phone he seemed tense and not willing to answer anything, all I asked for was a 1/2 shorter or even stock length to replace the HD shocks, said I couldn't do it, last thing I heard was have a nice day?
Anyway at the risk of dropping a ton of cash what are my options? I've read through some great threads here, like the Ohlins but a click under $700 is steep. Any help is appreciated.
When I hammer it out of turns, my FXDL does the same thing...learned to live with it. I dont know if shocks will make that much of a difference.
Do you have taller shocks? Just curious cause ever since installing my Burly's on the rear I don't feel the squirliness. I'm in no way recommending them for "performance" just wondering if that is the deal. Of course it could be just me not noticing now who knows....

Nope, I have the stock shocks, I plan to go to burlys though...just to have an anti-club dyna.
stock hd rear suspension is horrible. you don't need longer shocks, just good after market stock length shocks. I have ricor rear and ricor front suspension upgrades, bike works
decent in the corners . any after market shock is better than hd stuff. buy something in
your budget and think about getting front suspension upgrades like ricor intimidators,
better springs.
The big bear chopper rear mount changes everything on the Dyna,
No more sway. Really.
Dual mount setup encased in a housing only allows up and down movement, no side movement. Not many with this mount but paired with the VT front mount makes a Dyna come alive in the corners.
Not cheap but if your serious about your dyna you'll look into it.

i went with Ohlins piggy backs from Howard w/ motorcycle metal .. if you are chocking on 700$.. then double that won't help you .. all i can say is that the bike is totally solid now .. almost ... very close ... i have yet to do the front .. but waiting until some major powder coat ops to touch the front .. all in due time .. just do it .. you won't be sorry .. Howard will hook you up .. or in other words .. Howard will make the bike hook up
