I will be going for the taller 18 inch version myself. When you get yours and get it set up, come back and write a review. I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.

It's a quality product, the customer service is equally good, they are made in house and probably cannot product all of the many items at the same time........most likely just production scheduling.

Did you check the "blems"? I got one and the standards are so high that even though they told me exactly where the flaws where - I couldn't see them. Spoke with the people at Pro Pad flags the other day ordering a flag for a Goldwing (customer) and it would have been 2 weeks also, (small company production schedule) due to them being out of the base. We worked it out though, they sent me the pole with the custom top and I got the base from Drag.

I will. Good, bad, or indifferent you will have a fair review.

The good reviews is why I did order a Clearview. I'm hoping that the qaulity and overall product exceeds my impatience. Thanks for the feedback.

I think you'll like it. One bit of advice though - assuming you are replacing your stock w/s with the metal bars?

If so, get a little longer screws for the ones that pass through the metal braces - the CV screen is quite a bit thicker than the HD one and getting them fastened down is possible but not easy. Don't need much extra - just a few more threads than you have now.

Right on. I'll make a trip to Ace when I get the confirmation that it's shipped. This actually crossed my mine looking at the dimensions. But hearing it from you I will make that trip a little earlier.

I had more than enough with the stock screws that were with my stock mount. Maybe it depends on which stock windscreen you have. Mine was the Sport windscreen with quick detachable mounts.
As for the Clearview itself I have been overjoyed with mine. With the stock one I was getting too much buffeting and my head was starting to feel like a kernel of popcorn in a popcorn popper. I added a set of Memphis lowers which helped but my head was still getting bounced around making my glasses rattle. I first put on the Clearview which was almost an inch higher with a curve and close to 2" wider on both sides and about 2" lower below the headlight. comfort was much improved but with out the lowers on I was getting some buffeting from below. I went to put the Memphis lowers back on but they would not fit unless I mounted them to the fork tubes below the triple tree which I didn't want to do as the new screen came farther down below the headlight. So I put on the mounts and loosened the Clearview shield so I could slide the lowers under and then used a sharpie to mark a line on the shield. I had masked it with painters tape first. I then removed the screen and cut along the line with a jig saw. Then I rounded the edge of the cut with a file and buffed the edge with a Dremel Tool and polishing compound. When I mounted the windshield and lowers on the bike it was a perfect fit. I took the bike out and it was heaven. I can now cruise at any speed I wish and my upper body and head are surrounded in a pocket of relatively calm air. Zero helmet buffeting right up to around 100 mph or so. BTW the reason I was putting so much work into this is I have a very bad neck and have had spinal fusion a few years back due to a disk that blew out crushing some nerves and paralyzing my left shoulder and upper arm. Thankfully the surgery brought the use of my arm back enough that I can function normally. I still suffer from bad neck pain as I have other bad disks so I must be careful with them. The buffeting I was getting before was causing too much pain to ride for very long.

An added note, the first time I pulled out for a high speed pass with the new set up I noticed I had lost a bit of acceleration. Nothing major but enough that I noticed, this screen is punching a big hole through the air. I will gladly trade that for the comfort it provides. Either way I can still kick my friends *** so I'm happy.

Right on. I get the buffeting from up top and need the extra 2 inch air deflection. I've used lowers but I kind of like the air coming from underneath. I think the combination of upper and lower air creates the major buffeting. It's conforming ro hear that the Clearview is a little wider and extends lower frim the headlight. Your feedback is valuable. Thank you.

What size clearview did you go with for your LR? It looks like the 18 possibly. The 21 is a bit too big aesthetically for my taste as is the shorter 15/16 model. I will be using the one that is designed for the front of the FXDSE style forks.

It is the 20" with extra width and recurve, this model does not come in a 21". I got the taller one as I am over 6'.
