Default Clearview Windshield Wait??

My email confirmation order says that production time is 14 to 18 business days. That's a month to wait before it'e even shipped. I am regretting the order already. I could have spent the same money on another WS with the same recurve. Is it worth the wait for those that have ordered one? Seeesh. How does a company stay in business keeping a customer waiting so long? Are they made with magic dust or something?

They seem to get pretty good reviews, but then again, so does RB Racing exhausts, and I wouldn't deal with them based solely on their delivery/customer service practices. Basically, If you don't need the Windshield immediately, it's probably worth the wait. If you need one today for a trip tomorrow, its probably not so great. The best ability it availability.

I have a Memphis right now that is beat up. I would like to see how a recurve would work but the wait is a little much. I don't think any business should have a customer wait so long. I guess I could understand if I was having an engine custom built. It's a piece of plastic for crying out loud.

They may only have a few employees and there is probably a long list of people who are waiting for that piece of plastic! Just try and forget that it is being made and you'll have one hell of a good day when it shows up on the porch out of nowhere! Patience is a virtue, momma said.

I know of a few other windshield MFGs that also have back orders. It's not uncommon. But I understand peoples impatience. We're all just hell-bent on immediate gratification these days. When I ordered my Riffle fairing they told me they were back ordered 4 to 6 week. But that's the fairing I wanted and I didn't want to settle for something else. Now with that time behind me, I'm really glad I did wait for what I wanted. It took me about 2 years to get my bike where I wanted it to be. It's all worth it now and I have exactly what I wanted without compromise.

I am going to get a clearview for my Dyna when the time comes. I am getting the sport windshield replacement in a recurve style. I am and will be ordering this over the winter so it will be no biggie to wait. Like Rich said.. don't settle..

It's not instant gratification more than proactive business. If you've been in business for any length of time you should have a stocked inventory of available product. I can unnderstand 7 to 10 business days. That would even be the most any customer should wait for a simple product. I ordered a standard 15" clear windshield with the recurve. Standard OEM replacement specs. There shoud be 10 sitting on a shelf at any given time. If this was their first year in business I could unnderstand it.
I'm 7 'business' days into the order so I'll wait. I'm sure it's a nice WS but it is a bit ridiculous. I just hope the product lives up to their hype.
