I'm new here and currently own a 2015 Harley low rider. I'm looking for advice on putting ape hangers on this bike and exchanging the cables. Harley doesn't seem to know how to help.

I used cables from a Streetbob. But that'll depend on how tall of bars you want to use.

It depends on what you want. The low rider has the strange risers, so if I had one and was switching to apes I would pick some decent looking short risers. The cable lengths are going to depend on the height of the bars. You need to pick a style and height of bars, then someone here can probably suggest a cable length for you.

How high do you intend to go? I put 12" mini apes on and the cables still fit.

Get rid of that riser set up, I hate it, I just installed my apes this weekend. I was told they are 14" but they sit above my shoulders, not by too much, still comfortable. I bought stock super glide cables, I was told they are the same as street bob cables, come to find out none of them will fit. Luckily the swapmeet was this weekend in long beach, I got a set of apes, 3.5 inch riser, longer steel braided clutch cable and longer steel braided throttle cables for 40 dollars.

You can get a healight relocation kit from Dk customs for like 30 dollar, thats what I did. Or you can get a stcok streetbob headlight with mount. The internal wiring is easy, the stock wires will reach. I also used a stock street bob riser....here are some pics, though I took these in the middle of working on it so not complete...

Here is a break down of what you will need...
-Bars
-Headlight or relo kit
-risers
-longer clutch cable
-longer throttle cables
-Longer brake line (Dual disc ABS or non depends on what you have)
-Transmission cover gasket
-lots of beer.

oh BTW, when you are pulling the wiring out of the frame, be mindful that the start stop switch side wiring actually has 2 plugs. One is alot smaller than the other, I ended up tuggin on it and pulling the wire out of the connector....Pain in the *****.

Welcome to the forum! I agree that I would change out risers. I'd consider just the stock street bob risers. Here's a thread on handlebars, there may be some info to help you out. I believe Road 6 Customs sells complete kits, bars and cables. You could email them and ask, I've heard they have good customer service. Have you thought about going t-bars to just skip the whole riser situation? I know, t-bars aren't for everyone.

Would they work on the low rider since the low rider has dual front disk breaks and the street bob has single front disk breaks?
