Well; in the search for a Fat Bob fork brace compatible with gaiters, I see some really nice pieces out of San Diego Customs...I e-mailed them but no response. Has anyone here dealt with them?
Looking for a brace that doesn't resemble a bone from the Flintstones and will work with gaiters. The front forks on the 49 are just a bit narrower, BTW...but that's a nice looking setup too.
I bought their bar bag a few months ago. I never tried to get ahold of them though, so can't comment on that. The bag got here about a week after placing the order and I've been pretty happy with the quality.
Yeah; need to replace first set of gaiters...they split at the bottom. Bought a better pair; I think the last ones were old Triumph pieces. Would be a good time for a fork upgrade and a brace install; going to take the whole front fork assembly apart this winter. Trying to put on a Road King 9 spoke wheel and possibly matching black rotors. Was thinking of the 48 lower legs/brace but it's narrower...want clean and slim
Phoned SDC today, they have no intention of making a wide glide fork brace; they don't feel there is enough market. Too bad...
I'm going to go ahead with front end work after Christmas, maybe no fork brace then but boots for sure...
