New DK high flow round air cleaner ( no more football)
Cycle shack slash down slip ons.
Perfect fit.
LOUD...louder than expected..may need some thunder torque inserts to quiet it a bit however she does sound like a Harley now instead of a singer sewing machine.
Didn't get a chance to test ride yet. Noted some very minor decel pop just playing with the throttle in the barn. If she decel pops too much while riding I will be installing the VIEDs Tin Cup so generously sent me.
Glad you're getting that Stage 1 completed Love those Cycle Shacks and the DK Custom A/C! Even if she doesn't have any decel popping put in the ViEDs, your engine will be much happier and run cooler with the added fueling. Set them to 50% to start...
The TTI's in the exhaust are a great addition, remove the stock baffles and the tone of those Cycle Shacks will be deeper and the brassy tones will be gone, the TTI's will help prevent reversion in to the exhaust and fatten up the low's and mid range... $23 well spent
Forgive me but what is is this ViEDs thing I am hearing about? I'm new to this all! I am planning to do my stage 1 upgrade over the winter and I have been researching and I am leaning towards V&H BigShots, DK Custom A/C, and the FP3 Fuelpak from V&H. Is the ViED an alternative to the FP3 and how does it work?
Hey Reel Heavy, the VIEDs are a pair of plug and play pig tails that more or less fool the O2 sensors and ECM in to thinking it is still running at factory lean settings while richening your fuel / air mixture. You hook them up and set them so you an run your engine a little richer. It has limitations so it should be good for stage 1 upgrades. They are adjustable so you can eliminate most of the decel pop that goes with running lean. That's just a lay mans explanation there are a lot of way more technical explanations. Cost is around $130 vs way more for a tuner. Go to Night Rider or DK Customs website for a much better explanation and pricing. Ok techies...don't slam me for the crude explanation
