I had planned to do the same thing, but once I bolted on the relocation kit, I realized that the plate would then be way behind the lights and I thought it would look even more odd not having a taillight near the plate. IDK... I may go to a regular taillight and amber blinkers some day but this is my current setup.
I used the relocation kit on mine, but didn't move the signals. There would be the concern about the wiring being cut if the bracket was pushed down, but the way the kit I purchased all fit together is has bends that hold it in place without the additional hardware. Clean and simple look, and even though I'm picky about these things I'm totally satisfied.
The side mounted plate bugged me from before purchase, and was the first thing I did to mine. Easy Brackets kit works great, and looks better than the plastic kit from HD.
I installed the Memphis Cafe a few weeks ago, had no issues with the headlight. I used the fairing and quick detach kit which are supposed to be for a street bob.
The top detach clamps sit nearly flush with the top of the steel part of the forks and the headlight fit perfectly.

Need help installing a Memphis Shades Gauntlet Quarter Fairing on my Low Rider S.
Basically, can't get it mounted. It appears the headlight is in the way or maybe a little too high. Did anyone else with a S and Gauntlet have to switch out to a lower headlight block?
Read thru the instructions several times and tried to mount it, but finally gave up. I did remove the stock headlight fairing and all of the mounting hardware.

Do you have a pic with that fairing? I like the look of the tiny factory piece, but I ride on the freeway enough that I'd like something that gives me less wind.

The Cafe looks good, might have to go that route. Does it knock down enough wind to make it worth the money?
What's the rise on those bars?
Just blew my account on goodies for the bike, first round was not cheap, but bars, possibly a fairing, and lighting upgrades are coming soon too. Installing Bassani RR3, V&H Fuelpak, Joker pegs, Bung King crash bar, shift linkage, shift peg, and some Avon grips next week once it's all here. Then the week after Christmas I'll be at Corbin having my seat built, and if I am lucky I'll not have to sleep on the couch at all.
That looks good man...i'm going to be commuting on my bike soon...maybe I should do the swap...do you have part numbers of everything you needed?
Don't have part numbers, but it's simple enough. Go to Memphis shades site and you can find the parts. I used the trigger lock kit with black plates for a '16 street bob. And the cafe fairing of course. Simple as that.

It's a pretty substantial improvement. Keeps a lot of wind off your chest yet keeps your head in clean air so no buffeting at all. It's not like my street glide of course, but it keeps you from fighting the wind at highway speeds.
I wouldn't go without it. Just my opinion though...
I was thinking an 8" rise would be just right for me, 3" over stock. With that fairing it doesn't look all goofy with bars popping up over the top of the shield.
What brackets did you use to move the turn signals? That's something I will have to move for sure with the taller bars.
And I really need to stop spending on this thing! Damn bike is going to put me on the streets.
