I picked up an "S" fairing at a swap meet here in Florida for my older Dyna. Not knowing what model it was from. Must had been fate I bought a new Dyna Low Rider S a couple weeks later... So now I have an extra.

I swapped my factory HD Dyna S rear shocks for Progressive 444. Happy I did, no more scrapping foot pegs with the added ground clearance and as you've probably already heard Progressive 444 are great shocks.

I got the Leather Badlander. I am waiting for the backordered bumper kit to show on Thurs so I can put the damned thing on.

Happy wife + Badlander?? It is looking doubtful. I might get the C&C.

Badlander was the closest stock looking seat I could find.

Any of you guys who switched to braided brake lines, did you notice a difference in stopping power? Love my bike but these brakes sure seem **** poor.

Mine got better after a few hundred miles. Still plan on eventually getting braided lines and better pads...

Thanks for the reply ATIMER! As much as I really like my Fat Bob if finances allowed I'd get an S in a heartbeat.

FWIW, the S shocks are much better than the usual Dyna shocks, even though they're built by the same company (Showa)...like a cloud over bumps compared to my old Progressive 412's (which were the same size as stock), yet they feel very planted when cornering...impressive for factory shocks. Good enough that they're low on my priority list of parts to replace...after exhaust, fuel mgmt, risers, taillight relocation, bags, fairing, etc.

Part of the reason ATIMER perceives improvement with the 444's is it sounds like he got taller 444's and isn't scraping pegs anymore, which isn't a knock on the S shocks engineering, but their height (lack of) and our bikes' already low cornering angles. Longer shock, more travel, better ride...

All that aside, if you're looking for new shocks I'd skip the S parts. Progressive isn't a bad place to start, but Works, Ricor, or Ohlins are even better if you plan on keeping your bike for any length of time.

I agree. It's the best riding stock Harley I've ever had. I don't cringe going over bumps like on my '04 Road King, '10 Street Glide, '11 Street Bob, and '13 Road glide. On all but the Road King I swapped out shocks almost immediately. I plan to wait for a bit with this bike, as my back feels fine after a ride.

I would like some 13.5-14" shocks for cornering clearance however. And maybe some regular mids 'cause they don't touch down as soon...

Jcleary if you swap out your more forward mids keep me in mind I would like to buy the more forward ones I don't think I wanna go full forward controls but where I'm tall my regular mids have my knees up too high I would offer to trade but as my bike is old I'm sure you would want newer mids than the ones I have
