am i the only unlucky one here? got my RT fairing mounted, undriveable after 70mph. Ridiculous buffeting, felt like my eyes were gonna shake out of my skull. 10" straight shield AND 11" recurve. I'm 5'7"....only way it worked well was with no windshield, but thats ugly and defeats the purpose since I had a lot of pressure hitting my head.
Gonna try to cut my shield down real low like 6"...if that doesnt work, Im selling it and going back to naked. $1,000 mistake?
I wonder if adding the lowers would help? Being that you mentioned a possible $1k mistake, I'm assuming you just have the upper fairing. If the company you got your fairing from is close enough that you can go there, maybe they'll let you try a set of primer lowers.
Couple questions for anyone that has used the Deviant Fabrications set up. Do they send all the nuts and bolts needed to install? If not, does anyone have a list of what is needed? Anyone have any pictures of the install with their new bracket set up?

Wondering the same. Deviant is priced the best but I'm wondering if their bracket has gotten better and if the installation isn't terrible. BMC looks awesome but it's almost double the price of Deviant. Also, what's the difference between the Deviant FXRD and FXRP fairing? I know one has glove boxes, but is that the only difference?
Last I checked, Deviant FXRD fairing will only fit a narrow glide.
Back in February a paint customer was interest in putting the FXRD fairing on his 2015 Fat Bob. So i called Joe at Deviant Fab to inquire on fitment. He wasn't sure so he asked a bud to stop by with his Fat Bob. After holding in in place and taking some measurements, he sent the following in an email.
"there is one point on each side of the bottom of the fairing on the inside that will need to be trimmed about 3/8" to clear the forks fully.
This is a pretty simple task best done after the fairing is fitted."
I'm sure it's easy enough to do with a Dremel. It wouldn't even be in a very visible area.
