I put Pirelli Night Dragons on mine...completely in love with them. Time will tell on the mileage, but about 2500 (give or take) on them so far and they still look almost new. They displace the Florida monsoon water well and grip like crazy.
Ran commander II's on another bike and on my street bob before the night dragons, and I wont be going back to the commander II's anytime soon. So far the night dragons are wearing better for me and grip much better. The commander II's are good tire, but there are better performance oriented tires out there, The Commanders are more an interstate straight line mile pounding tire.
+ 1 for the Night Dragons, running them on my 13 wide glide(not a bob) with 90 front tyre and have nothing but good feel . Never been a fan of Metzler tyres, even back in the sport bike days when they were all the rage
I bought a commander rear in the middle of last summer. I don't have an odometer but I have approx 6000 miles of hard riding on it and I'm really disappointed in how fast it's wearing. Really fast! Not great in the rain either. I'm going to go a different brand next time around.

I noticed the same thing when I ran a commander on the rear of my bike... wore to the indicators with 5000mi on it. My night dragon has 3900mi on it and still looks to be 75% or better.
