Does anybody have any insight, knowledge or experience with the RevTech 6 speed gear set.
I have a 2005 FXD and am thinking about the 6 speed. I'm looking at the RevTech because of it's 5 year 50k warranty and it's relatively inexpensive compared to the Baker or HD. I don't really hot rod the bike or race so I'm thinking the RevTech would do the job but I haven't been able to find any reviews. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I haven't seen anything on the RT 6 speed gear set. The warranty sounds attractive, but they have had QC problems with some of their other products in the past. Not much help, huh?

What is QC problems. This is the first upgrade I am considering for my bike.
Hi Dyna,
I own a '98 FXD, with 50,000 miles and a standard H-D 5 speed.
I recently bought a '94 FXR and had the shop install a 6-speed before I drove it home.
I love the 6-speed for hiway driving - just slip it into 6th at about 65 mph and love the ride. My gas milage is generally above 50 mpg, depending on how many hiway miles I drove with that tank of gas.
I had initially specified a RevTech 6-speed, but because of a delivery problem, I got an off brand, but with the same warranty.
Again, I love my 6-speed on the hiway.

QC = Quality Control. I've heard several builders refer to them as "RevCrap". They are made in Korea. And while the warranty sounds good, if the bike is in the shop getting a new tranny too often, the warranty loses some of its shine.
