I guess your idea of "not much more" and mine as well as the OP's are considerably different.

I was thinking a 10 year newer bike for right at 2 grand more wasn't bad. Anyway ride safe and OP enjoy your scoot.

Multi what blinkers did you go with? I do like the street bobs but right now i don't have credit or job history to go buy something more expensive(i just got out of prison 6 months ago) Although the dealership seems to think they can put me on a new bike, but I just can't see jumping into that much debt in my situation (although i was tempted). I figure i will buy this bike cheap enough and will leave me with enough extra income per month to make it mine. I think this bike has a lot of potential and has some features i want like dual disc brakes.
Things i wanna do are change the tail light and blinkers, plate holder, forward control, pipes, air cleaner. And Bars will be the first thing i change they had a set i liked at the dealership gonna see if they can switch them out for me before i pick it up. T-Bars but not real high ones.

Using your post and narrowing down to 2 grand more left these. I guess I am still not finding the one you are referring to. Enjoy your ride.

Yeah, OEM like SBobs. But, I just used the OEM super short stand-offs for the rear and handlebar control mounted in the front...Sorry no photos.

But here is a couple of my 96 after bringing her home and giving the baby a bath, I think about 6-7 years ago...16k miles

Unmolested

That's a nice looking bike multi. I was looking at some evo bikes before, i was really thinking about getting one cause you can buy those ultima evo engines for fairly cheap compared to a high performance replacement for the twin cams. But i've decided to just leave the engine alone until i can safe up enough to get it to fuel moto maybe next summer. Or maybe i will find someone around here that does motor work but I like what fuel moto does not sure if any one around here can compete with them

Does anybody know when I am looking at handle bars what i should be looking for as far as size. I'd like to use handlebars that have the risers built in like T-bars or H bars. I'm not sure how far apart the bolts on the top of forks are and also i want to use all the controls for lights and brakes and such i already have so i need to know what diameter to get? Thanks i know these are kinda newb questions but I have never had a harley before.

Still not sure about handle bars but i got a few links to different ones
with these i'm thinking i can still use my risers http://www.jpcycles.com/product/503-855
http://www.jpcycles.com/product/5000981 would my cables still work with these bars since they are shorter?
http://www.jpcycles.com/product/127-058 i like these cause they have risers built in but i'm not sure about the cables with these either

any help or ideas would be appreciated

Well, the Low Rider that the OP is looking at is black, so it's one of the faster ones. That's worth a few thousand right there.

Congrads on the bike! You should get a lot of miles and years of enjoyment from it. Well done!
