hi im new on here i just upgraded from a 2008 street bob to a 2016 unfortunately they made some changes i bought a bike rest for it but now they made it so you have to re locate the signal lights i pulled one apart and the bolt that goes through the extension wont slide out because its to long and im not familliar with set up of the inside of the signal light. anyway im just wondering if someone has done this already and give me some advice my knowledge of working on harleys is limited besides regular service and basics it was super easy on my 2008 and i dont want to pay to get it installed
I have the kit it's for the rear signals though to install the quick detach back rest I'm just not 100% on doing it you have to cut wires and put extensions on that go off the docking hardware seemed a bit confusing to me how do you like the street glide there a sexy bike a bit out of my price range though and I've always loved dynas

You need to place the bike on a jack and lift it so the bolt clears the tire. Disconnecting the lower shock bolt may be required for clearance.
You don't need to cut wires-remove tail light lens and unplug signals and pull through inside of fender.
You should YouTube it or get yourself a manual.
If you get the Harley relocation kit it should come with instructions. The kit described above is for front. Go to Harley website and find rear relocation kit. Click on "more info" tab and there should be a PDF instruction. The instructions may refer you to your user manual-handy to have if your going to be doing mods.
Damn I don't have anything like that accessible to me thanks for the info the bolt gets discarded I was thinking about covering my bike and cut it off are you familiar with electrical on signal lights at all
I have the instructions says to cut the wires I also tried you tube I couldn't find anything at all and I'm waiting for service manual at the moment I'll see if I can find it on Harley site thanks
I do all sorts of cutting, grinding and wiring on my bikes. I think you should slow down and get yourself more informed-lot of info on this forum, youtube and SERVICE MANUAL.

Hold on -A light just went off in my head You disconnect the wires from the plastic connector and resemble without cutting. A paper clip is involved. Google harley connector disassembly.
