stopped in at the local Harley dealer and was interested on getting a detachable sissy bar for my 16 street bob only to find out that we have to relocate the rear turn signals for clearance. He was explaining some guys change the "neck" where the signals connect to the frame and it does the job without relocating them. Has anyone seen / done this? if so do you have the part #'s
So I just ordered my 24" El Jefe sissy bar for my Wide Glide. Now what is the installation like? Is is a 1 beer job, 12 pack, or 30 pack kind of job. Can anyone give me a general overview of the process so I know what to expect when I get it in the mail. Thanks.

It's a 12 pack job. 1 to do the install, the other 11 to stand back and admire your work. Nothing to it. It's a little tight against the fender. I put some thick paper between the fender and mounting bracket while I got it in place and then slid it out to avoid scratching the paint.

Here's a thread I made a while back with a few pics. Not hard, just need to be careful not to scratch the paint. Also as in my notes, you may need to file the mounting holes insides because when they power coat them it makes them a tad small, but check the fit for yourself.
