I just prefer the forged flywheel, timken main bearings ('02 & earlier), carburetor, etc. of the earlier bikes. Just a peace of mind thing for me, when I hear about tranny, compensator, or flywheel issues with some of the later bikes.

Dunno how much of that is overblown, but I'm quite content with my '02 FXD & no plans on replacing it.

All that said, if I had that kinda dough for a 2nd bike, I'd be all over the Low Rider S.

I didn't know they made the S in 15. Learn something new every day.
Thanks all for all the well wishes. I am very happy with the bike as it is although I have a set of V&H Big Shots and a Power Vision tuner on the way. No internal engine mods this time!

Dyna Jim, why did u choose PV over the SEPST from HD. I plan to add a new pipe as well, considering the Nightstick from HD, and am considering PV, SEPST or FuelMoto... Interested in ur choice of power commander and the reason behind it. I plan to get the bike dynoed as well...
TIA/cheers, bb

I dont know.. I really like the style of the Low rider S and the 110ci and goodies it comes with for the price. Been really thinking long and hard about getting one. But. Ive always been a softail guy ever since I traded my Street bob in for my Night train back in 08. I had a 2012 Fat boy Lo and loved the comfort, balance and ride of that bike especially the foot boards. Never ever felt like a cement truck too me at all.. Hard to go back to pegs after foot boards!! Never got into my CVO Road king much. Very top heavy during slow maneuvers and setting position sucks. Been really thinking of actually getting another Fat boy. A regular Fat boy this time. 2 up riding is important and just worry the Low rider would be cramped. there both the exact same msrp. mmmmm what too do??? Lol..

I'm sure he just meant it was a Low Rider. He even said that it didn't have the mags.

I've had the SERT, TTS, Thundermax, and Powervision on other bikes, and the Powervision is the easiest to use for a mild mod bike plus it has the display that you can leave on the bike to see head temp and a lot of other information. Fuel Mooto has great support and their maps are pretty much spot on.

My Fatboy low just dragged something every time I turned a corner faster than a walking pace. This bike just zips in corners. I too liked the floor boards, but am getting used to the pegs very quickly. The seating position is much better on the back with the Dyna also. The power is there for sure. I am really smitten with this one...
