I own a '12 wide glide and I am having trouble with a number of electrical problems. After replacing the battery with an aftermarket battery i noticed the batter light and red indicator light would come on after starting to ride. The bike would then not start or turnover as if it were dead but after a few attempts it would eventually start. It now will start while in neutral mostly but not in gear. So on the way home from work at night the speedo light stopped working, the speedo works but not the light. Otherwise the bike rides fine. I've checked the connections and everything looks fine. Does anyone have the same problem and do you continue to ride the bike in this situation. My biggest worry is get stranded. Any input is appreciated, thanks

I have bcm b2156, b2272, pn69992-12 and spd b2272, pn67478-12 but I don't know what to do with them. I've googled but everything is vague and not much help.
Thanks, I just replaced the rear right side bulb with a 2157 aftermarket (not oem) bulb. Would this makes a difference and could the high voltage code be from the aftermarket battery which does have a higher cranking amp rating. And how do I go about clearing the codes.
you are looking for about 14volts with the engine running.
You may have toasted your regulator, with the bad previous battery... if you are not getting 14v with the engine running... your charging system is kaput... and if you are getting more than 15... regulator is not doing it's job.
I washed my 2012 Dyna last night. Today I went to start my bike all the lights work I herd the fuel pump go on I put the bike in neutral went to start it and got nothing the bike was in neutral but the neutral light wasn't on can anyone help me
