I want to "raise the bar" on my FXDL-S and am having a bitch of a time finding 8" risers for a 1.25" bar. I came across riser extensions, which would be silly easy to install. But I am not sure how I feel about them, and using 2" longer bolts.
Doesn't Wild One Chubbys make what you're looking for in black?
They do, but I actually like the drag bar that comes with the S, I just need it up a couple more inches... I'd prefer to use solid risers, but I'll be damned if i can find 8" risers for a 1.25" bar...
I have the LA Choppers 1.5 inch extensions. Only have about 300 miles with them on but no problems yet. It's a cheaper option than getting taller bars you may not like. Also, when did you get the LRS? Sharp man! Congrats!
Just fit on my wide glide without lengenthing any cables. Although I did have to remove one of the cable retainers to let the front brake line have some more room.
Not real big on the idea of a spacer in there but they feel just as solid as they did before. I was trying to determine what to do with my bar as they just didnt fit me & didnt want to go with a full riser setup just to find out I that wasnt right either. Good cheap way to test it all out & at this point I'm happy enough to keep them and spend that money somewhere else.
I saw the DK's - the advantage they have is they come with the bolts. The LA Choppers version is machined to let the riser sit in a "cup" which probably makes no difference, except it looks like it would be more secure...
