New to the forum and to cruisers. Thanks for all the support so far. I'm interested in purchasing an exhaust system but was curious if some require forward controls?

 

Buy them to fit the bike and you shouldn't have problems. Your question is best asked of the manufacturer once you decide on a type of exhaust.
I have a 09 FXD, I put on V&H BigShots,, those pipes work with both forwards or mids.

 

I'm thinking rinehart switchbacks. Thanks for the insight

 

I'd email Rinehart...and expect them to say forwards only...
