Default Intake gaskets

I have a 2007 dyna streetbob fxdb. Since I bought my bike about 8-9 months ago it's been wanting to stall on me when pulling in the clutch riding down the road or when I'm coming up to a stop light. It doesn't do it all the time but it's annoying and somewhat embarrassing. I cleaned the IAC and nothing happened. I sprayed around the intake and the idle changed. So now I'm guessing I have a leak. The question is how hard is the gaskets to replace? Any input or info or just any tricks would be great. I have a service manual but can't seem to find how to get the job done in it

To change those 2 gaskets, I would follow the Service Manual Instructions for removing the throttle body. As you get into the proceedures you may realize that not all connections have to be seperated but even if you do, it's not that big of a deal. It may take you a couple hours but take your time and enjoy - I love wrenching, so just have a beer or two and go for it.

May need to get a "bent" Allen wrench for those intake fasteners, they can be a bitch. HD sells a throttle body wrench but it is only good for removing the fasteners and costs about $35. Be very careful if you decide to use a "ball" ended Allen wrench - they can mangle an Allen head fastener pronto. Patience is key reinstalling those fasteners, get new ones if you want, do not strip the threads in the cylinder heads.

When you reinstall the new intake gasket, a little silicone spray or some Dawn dish soap to keep the gaskets lubricated during install helps.

HD sells a throttle body kit that replaces all the o-rings and wearable parts that go on the throttle body - "while your at it, mind as well".

okay so i finally got around to changing my gaskets out last week and let me tell you what my bike runs 1000% better. but only for a couple days. now it still runs great but the stalling/wanting to stall out came back. checked for leaks and never once changed idle. so WTF?!?! im thinking about maybe running some injector cleaner and im for sure changing my fuel filter here within the next couple of days. guys, any help or even the slightest tip is welcome.

Does the ECU/PCM have a learning or reset procedure? Some do, some don't. Some require user intervention, some don't.
