Default RSD Intake installation question

I have a roland sands speed 5 intake (courtesy of DrVtwin) when I did the installation I am now wondering if I made a mistake. The stock intake has a gasket between the intake housing and the throttle body. I removed that gasket. No where in the RSD installation instruction does it say to reuse that gasket in fact their illustration of the throttle body shows the gasket removed. So I installed the RSD back plate directly against the throttle body. When I called RSD and asked them they said welllll yea you can use the gasket or not does not really matter. Have any of you guys running an RSD intake re-used the throttle body gasket (its a very thick gasket) ?

You can reuse it as long as it is not all torn up. I use a gasket myself.

Roland Sands or any other intake I think you would need a gasket. It doesnt really matter? That seems like a fishy answer to me.Every intake I have had came with a new gasket Arlen Ness,S&S and Carlini.

Ok looks like I need to take it off and reinstall with either a gasket or a bead of form-a-gasket.

The RSD does not come with the gasket, and if you call and ask they say it is not necessary IME, but I always run one.

I used ultra black, per RSD instructions, on mine. Worked great.
