Gasket holder?

What is the name of the gasket 'glue' to hold the gasket in place during installation? (It is not a glue, just sticky to keep the gasket aligned.) I think it starts with hydra .... Thanks.

i just use alittle dab of grease. put it on a few spots on the gasket and stick it where you want it.

If you're thinking of gasket cement, it'll stick real well, but can make the gaskets a bitch to remove later.

permatex made something called hi-tack?
glue gasket to one side and grease the other side of the gasket for easy cover removal

depending on the gaskets you are installing, go to home depot and get some threaded rod that is the correct thread for the bolts you will use for the cover. Cut some threaded rod, and screw a couple into spaced holes. Install gasket, install cover and some screws to snug down, remove rod and finish tq all fasteners.

A light dusting of any kind of spary paint on the gasket works good. Makes the gasket sticky and not too hard to get off later.

works perfect, SO SIMPLE to remove (i use a rag soaked in cellulose thinners)

I never use anything else.

Perhapos a little harder to find everywhere in the USA though
