Default Wire gauge ?

Anybody happen to know what gauge wires run though the handle bars from the controls on a 2012 WG?

HD wants $275 for the harness and switch assembly, I'll rewire the broken/pinched wires.
TIA

If you take this route you'll want to use a good quality wire stripper. So, buy one now, and use it to determine the wire guage. Try to strip at 14 ga...then keep reducing the guage size until you get a nice clean strip that does not pull any wire strands.

Looking at the parts diagram for the 2012 FXDWG I would say 20-22 AWG....

Thanks guys.

Of course the electronics store didn't have any, but the did have the thinnest 18 gauge I've seen.
