I'm just wondering what has been your guys' experience with JD Customs as far as customer service, and specifically amount of time it's taken them to ship? Has anyone had bad experiences with not getting fairings for a long amount of time? Thanks
when i ordered my t-sport fairing from them it took 10-14 days to be delivered which is the estimate they sold me when i ordered it. Ive also made several smaller orders since then and I've gotten everything in a timely fashion.
Ordered my FXDXT fairing on March 14th and I'm still waiting for mine.
I called to check where it was and was told their painter had a family issue and haven't heard back since. I was originally told that if they have the fairings made up then they send them to the painter immediately and it's about a week extra.
Seem like nice enough guys so I am cutting them some slack but I would like to have that fairing so I can do a little custom work on it myself before mounting.
I've always gotten great service from them. Always a quick reply when I'd send an email. I waited about 4 weeks for my fairing but he told me that when I ordered it. I had gotten in right after they sold out and I was in line for the next batch.
I sent an email asking about shipping times and the gentleman said JD drills them out assuring proper fitment of what I assume is the fairing and lowers. He was real quick to respond and my parts will be at the shop today. Hopefully mocked up by Thursday and in for paint early next week. I ran out of funds due to a medical issue with my son so I have to wait on bags. I ordered on March 29th. No issues whatsoever.
I've only ordered a breather system from them but the turn around was super speedy. I have asked them a lot of questions as well and they always respond quickly. I'm sure one of the team will respond to this thread as they are a sponsor and active on the forums here.
Is it not allowed to post about poor service? if not why even ask advice on vendors?
I don't believe JD Customs is a vendor. I think Twospot is thinking of DK Customs because JD doesn't even sell a breather system. To the OP, you're ordering during riding season which is when a lot of people are adding stuff to their bikes. I ordered my fairing from them last October, was quoted 10-15 working days and my order was shipped in 12 calendar days. Communication was minimal because I wasn't having them paint it and didn't order a custom windshield size.

Chonk
I'm in the same exact boat. Ordered mine the 18th. I've tried to contact them a few times with some success, but I never really recieved an email telling me what was going on. Hopefully they get sent out soon. I haven't gotten a tracking number yet.
I just ordered an fxdxt fairing and had a good result with JD. I placed my order for a non-painted fairing with the tallest opaque windshield available on March 15 and was quoted 10-15 days to ship. On March 31, I sent an email requesting an update, which was responded to within 5 hours telling me they were waiting on windshields to arrive and that it was technically 10-15 business days. I never received a tracking number when the fairing shipped, but the fairing arrived on April 12. FWIW as of today they are sold out of fxdxt fairing kits.
