So I just did a service on my 2015 fatbob, I filled it with 3 qts took it for a 10 min ride and somehow it's past the full point by quite a bit ... Anyone else have this issue ? I expected it to take closer to 3.5 qts
I just drained some out ... I probably should have asked before hand ... I changed the oil filter and really the engine only takes 2.5 qts ... What's the primary take ?

32 oz "wet".
Better yet, with the bike level(like on a lift), the oil should just touch the bottom of the clutch basket - the part just outside the clutch plates.
Thank you everyone yea I checked my level for tranny and it was good ! I drained about 8 ounces out of the oil and it was just to to the top of the full line
as stated about 2.5qt is all it takes. I also "wet out" my oil filter before installation, which takes a shade more.
your COLD oil fill mark should only be HALF way up to full on the dipstick. starting with the oil level at full then riding and heating up the oil... course its going to be more than full, stuff expands when it's much hotter than the ambient temperature. I'd bet your crank case breathers are spewing oil too.
