Why a Dyna?
I got my used 10 year old w/12k miles Dyna Street Bob because it was an affordable Harley-Davidson that is easy to fix up and make my own.
I think after 1000 more miles Ill get used to it. Its a big change from my Kawasaki ZR1200...which I still have by the way.
I ride the Harley more.

Op, Dyna all the way! The Dyna lends itself to be striped down or loaded up! Bar hopper, twisty carver or light tourer. I currently ride a FLS and am looking real hard at the street bob or switchback! Take a look at the Lowrider-s.
Lowrider-S. Add fatbob factory seat, stage 1 with D&D low cat exhaust, and street slammer bars.?

Big goofy bike ? I agree it's different than a sportster (i've own both) but the dyna is not goofy at all, unless you ride a wide glide (according to your sig you do), than i agree, around town with the extra rake, it must be harder ton control at lower speed than a regular dyna.
throwing silly tbars (, inverted forks, and upped rear suspension on that dyna does not fix the inherent heft, girth, and frame/engine mount issues. the "setup" logic implies dumping 2000+ in to a bike to make it handle like a 2000 sportster, lol. more raw power and grunt yes... agility NFW. point is dynas just don't .
no need to "setup" anything on a sporty for it to have its stock traits. it's advantages come from its size... it just is what it is.
like i said, pointless debate. fuss til you are blue in the face... will not change a thing.
about those wheel though...

I can lead you to the water, but I'm not gonna drown you to make you drink it...you want to keep thinking that way, it's you that's missing out...and keep in mind, I'm not doubting the agility of a properly set up sportster - I'm just saying you're wrong in saying that Dyna's inherently can't be agile...
And no, I don't know who makes the wheels...
"passive-aggressive slides are feminine.... "
"big goofy bike getting all in it's own way"
Sounds like a reflection of your stature.
The wide glide is not the choice if you want quick handling. Maybe you made a bad decision.

i test rode them all and i bought what i wanted... and it does what i bought it to do, and i'm doing exactly what i said i'd do to it:

i know you remember that because you spread some of your passive aggressive love on it:
