there is an xr front end on ebay right now. the seller broke it up into different auctions
I'm actually holding out for a dual disc Deuce front end ('03 CVO). I get the performance benefits but I'm really not a huge fan of the inverted fork look.

I agree. They look like a leak waiting to happen to me.
kind of curios how much better those vs good cartridges from ohlins or adreani
One of the biggest benefits of inverted forks in the inherent strength in them. With the top of the forks being the thickest, it eliminates the standard fork flex under hard riding conditions.
Think of it this way: take a barbell and remove the weights from one side, now hold the it out with the weights at the far end, then turn it around and hold it so that you're holding the weights with the bar hanging away from you. It's much easier to hold it that way. Its the same with the forks.
Harley did this back in the day with the XR1200...but they keep doin it to the Sportster, too small of a bike for many of us...if only they would do all these mods to a Dyna...
Rockin a Kraus setup myself...
I'm up 13.5 in the back so it's pretty high and with a good suspension setup...I'm still scrapin peg and railin the bike hard...
Hardly no chicken stripes in this pic...I'm all the way down these days though..
