Default riser stability

just wondering - in terms of stability, do having a one piece clampon riser work or will these individual style riser be better?

http://www.jpcycles.com/product/5000032

or

http://www.jpcycles.com/product/5000723

Also, do I need to buy anything to mount this riser set?

I heard from others that I need bushings.

I have a 5k mile old FXDL, might be able to use what's already there or not?

I do notice the one piece clamp works better. keeps everything tight and stops from twisting some. and your bushings will work fine with that too. with the 2 piece, you might want to go with a poly bushing. might be tighter , or more ridged

It has more to do with looks, once the two piece is clamped to the bars they are essentially one piece. I have had both and couldn't tell the difference between either of them.

Either will be fine. I'd strongly recommend replacing the bushings. The stock rubber bushings are junk. Especially if you're raising the total rise of your setup. For the money, probably one of the best mods I've done.

As others have said replacing the riser bushings has more to do with the riser stability

I run individual risers with separate caps... 1.25 bars... I have no doubt they are as strong or stronger than the one piece cap setup... poly bushings.

This may be a stupid question but im new to harleys. Will any risers work on all models? Like fat bob risers on an 04 wg? I know you have to have the right bar diameter for said risers but are they interchangeable?
