The pipes are Vance and Hines supposedly, but not sure what's up with the blemish. Will definitely ask about that, and I'd replace them anyway.
Fist thing I asked about was the paint. It is Harley Factory yellow. Pretty ugly if you ask me. I would have this changed as well. I would also add a battery cover.
I don't mind forward controls as that's what I'm used to, but could always put on mids easy enough.
Pretty sure the shocks, and fender area are all stock.
Honestly, I don't love the bike asthetically as it is now, but I've been told these are great bikes and if it's mechanically sound, I know I could make it pretty sweet with a color change and some cleanup.
I'm a bit biased, but I love fxdx bikes. I wouldn't hesitate. Who cares that it's 15 years old? It's not a car, your neighbor isn't gonna judge you because it's not a new model. The fxdx is in my opinion and many others the best handling Harley made.
