I did something really crazy, for me anyway, (I'm 65 years old). Yesterday. I was out riding with my buddy, and we decided to do a little "roll on" race while going about 55 mph. We both took off and he stayed with me until about 75 (he has a 1200 Sportster) and I held my bike wide open and left him far behind. I knew I was going pretty fast, and when I looked down at my speedometer I was going 100 mph. I had a lot of throttle left, so I was wondering just what is the top speed of the new Low Rider. I have the Stage One, Fat Cat exhaust, SE Heavy Breather, 103". This is the first time I've really opened the bike up, and was surprised how quickly I got to 100. I don't plan on doing that again, so I was wondering if anyone has "topped out" their 103" Dyna, and just how fast will it go?

I've been to 100 , but like you, I had much more to go before fully tapped out. I'm guessing around 130ish, but I have no idea.

Yeah, that don't sound right at all. I had a 2006 1200cc model for about a year. I beat the living **** outta that thing. The highest I ever took it was 115 while passing a couple big rigs. It was still accelerating too. It makes no sense that the 103" would leave him far behind once they hit only 75 mph. I'm pretty sure the 103 couldn't even reach 115 mph. I'm suspecting that the buddy just didn't want to go that fast and lightened up on the throttle.
A few weeks back a friend with a 2015 Fat Bob with SE stage- 2 wanted to compare his bikes performance to mine. We nailed it from a 65 mph roll. My 111" S&S smoked him bad. The highest speed he was able to reach, confirmed by his GPS, was 104 mph. I chopped throttle at 120 once a realized he he done. Didn't matter if he was in 5th or 6th gear. 104 was it. I've rode his bike and it seems to run great, but I never took it over 80 mph.
So I don't personally know if his HD, SE Stage-2 tune is right or if that's all you can expect out of it. But to me, it seems right being that it runs great and he's seeing 42 to 46 mpg.
I've got a 15 low rider with just a stage 1 done to it and I've had it to 115 before with some more throttle to go. But she needs better suspension and motor mount stabilizers though cause she was feeling really "twitchy" around 105mph.

My 2015 did 117mph (speedo indicated) in complete stock forum off the show room floor before I let off, I now have a stage 1 on my 103......... So i'm sure it will do 115mph with a stage 1. A friend of mine has a 1200 sportster him and I both have the basic stage 1 upgrade and i pull him up top every time by 4-5 lengths....... Just saying....
I've buried speedos at 120 on 88", 95" and 96". Speedo reads 120, probably going a little slower, or maybe faster since its buried, but either way- 100 is not your top.
