I happened to have won the chance to purchase a new pair of mirrors playing Pool with my wife and son last night. I'd like to jump on it before they decide to welch or make me go double or nothing.
I don't have anything against my stock mirrors other than they're kind of boring, it's pure aesthetics that don't really need to be changed but that's what I agreed to!
I'm not going with turn indicator integrated ones. Any suggestions on a nice reasonably priced product that works that you think would go with my bike? I started to look on Revzilla and these kind of caught my eye but would like to hear from folks who may have gone off the beaten path...
I'm pretty good at pool, think if I can beat them they'll buy me parts too? That's a pretty sweet deal though. I personally am not a huge fan of the hard lines on those mirrors. I went with a used of the Arlen Ness mini oval's myself.
Yeah some good options, thanks! I'm not really a fan of the skulls or skeletons but thanks multihrdr!
My concern with under bar mirrors is that I had them on my 48 and had a hard time with them, not sure if that would be the same with my current sitting position though.
I'd frankly keep the stock but they do kind of stick out as chrome with black levers and black bars.
Some of those HD ones are really nice but not sure about the pricing. I told the wife that the set should be no more than $150 or so but I was just guessing. LAst night I mentioned that I was looking and she gave me a quizzical look like she had forgotten or something. I won't let her off that easily though. Going to try and find something today.
I think you can get the HD mirrors for a few pennies more than your budget from Boardtracker HD. Honestly, I was going to go with one of the two, but decided to save some cash and go with a set of black stock style for about $50 from the local stealership. Honestly, the stock HD mirrors are probably the best stock accessory that came on my bob.
However it came with a catch... For those that remember the box Suede made for his Engine shipment, the packaging for his mirrors was equally impenetrable. Took me something like 10 minutes to get this little box opened and unpacked. Stuck myself with a pair of scissors!
He also included the loveliest picture of his own motorcycle which I now have prominently displayed in my office, soon to be adjacent a dart board if I have my way.
Thanks Suede, the mirrors look awesome and will be a welcome addition to my ride!
