bullit,
thanks, I was thinking I'd add it to the bottom of the triple tree using the headlight bolt.

I've got one like this on each of my bikes, mounted the same way. Except that rather than installing a separate switch, I just ran the wiring into the headlight bucket, attached to the high beam wire. I always run high beam during daylight.

These things VASTLY increase your visibility to other drivers during the daytime. No, they're technically not legal, but I don't care. Or I should say instead that I care more about not getting racked up again, from someone pulling out in front of me.

Great point - and the reason I swapped all the incandescents to LEDs

Visibility cannot be over done

I did the same thing. Swapped all my lights to LED as well. I totally agree with you Warp, I'd rather be seen than get nailed. Especially for us Californians and the busy freeways. for those uf us who lane split out here. They're definately going to see me coming in their mirror.

Warp,
So I finally got my light, you said you ran the wiring into the headlight bucket and attached it to the high beam wire. Did you wire it directly to the bike or did you use a relay/harness when you did that? Everything I've been reading says you should add a relay/harness. I'm not very "electrically" incline so some of this doesn't make sense to me on how it all works. I see that people are doing it. So I know it can be done, I just want to know how it works before I install it and blow up my electrical system. HAHA

Or anyone else got any suggestions?

Under the seat is a accessories plug , hd sells the opposite side the accessories adapter 25 bucks. This will make the light operate on its own fuse. You can also add a switch and place it on you bike some where I did mine across from the speedo reset button.

I'm also going to add a led front fog light like mentioned in this thread, going with a kawell 6.5" for the front.
What I was wondering, could I also add one of these light linked below onto my rear fender and splice it into my brake wiring so it only comes on when I hit the brakes? Or is that illegal?

I'm sure that it's possible. The rear light is going to be my next project. I've been wanting to add more light to the back to be seen. if i do it soon, i'll let you know.

Electrically, simple, but flashing & colors can be a sticky subject. Consult your local SHP before undertaking.

Something like this ~may~ be a more legal option: https://www.customdynamics.com/motor...ht_flasher.htm

Again, consult the highway patrol.
