LED Headlights
I did not want to go HID in the Harley because there was place to hide the light's ballast, except under the seat.
I found an LED unit on Amazon (JDM Astor 3000 Lumens H4LED) for Canadian $69.95. I use a Drag Specialties 7" headlight (2001-0328, Chrome) on my bike. The bulb fit perfectly and there was no installation issue.
What surprised me when I turned it on was that it didn't glare like an HID unit. Instead, the beam emerges from the top half of the headlight. Its bright, not glaring; it doesn't blind oncoming traffic; and it is a nice crystal white color.
At 3000 lumens, its as bright as HID. All in all, I am fully satisfied and it was well worth the $70 bucks (that's like $1.50 in US dollars!)
I own a 2014 Iron 883 with all the extras that harley offer in that moment: ABS, Security System, Keyless System, bla bla bla.
Past week I just did my very first modification to the bike....I installed a LED Headlight. I am really happy with the change but, because exist a but, yesterday I notice the red light of the security system come on while running.
I read in this forum that may need a equalizer load. If that is what I need I would like to know how install that.
This is what bought...I know, it is cheap, but Works and I am very happy with it http://www.ebay.com/itm/121940074971...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Suggestions please.

Suggestion 1: post in the sporty forum
Suggestion 2: it's normal. the light comes on because the Body Control Module (BCM) want to see a certain current draw and the LED is, more than likely, drawing below the expected value. common with led H4 bulbs and shoddy knock offs. nothing to worry about. the red light comes on to alert the rider on an issue/code being thrown. pull your codes ( http://www.fuelmotousa.com/p-29661-h...ble-codes.html ) and you will probably, not guaranteed, see one or two of these codes in the bcm:
- B2131 High beam output open
- B2132 High beam output shorted high
- B2133 High beam output shorted low
- B2134 Toasted Frog, North Dakota
- B2136 Low beam output open
- B2137 Low beam output shorted high
- B2138 Low beam output shorted low
- B2139 too much mayo in the tuna
relax
Just one thing, the procedure shown to retrieve the DTC code is for models with Switch, my bike just have keyless fob. Some Idea how start the procedure for a motorcycle with the keyless fob system?

Same again on error light being due to the resistance difference between regular bulbs and LEDs. There are little electronic gadgets that simulate the resistance of a regular bulb but they're kind of expensive, and actually allow some of the current to bypass your LED bulbs. Not to mention that they're just another thing in your electrical system that can add to the failure rate. Other than that, regarding the error light, you can go back to regular bulbs or live with it.
However, to at least try to answer your question: Try holding the reset button on the speedometer down, then switching the run stop switch from stop to run while your FOB is present. If that doesn't work, ... Sportster Forum ...
Cvaria, Thanks for the laugh "B2134 Toasted Frog, North Dakota".
What happened to B2135? South Dakota?

use the trip button instead. hold it down when you toggle the run switch to the "run" position.
Thanks for your support.
