Can Verify that 04-05 Dyna Seats are unique for those 2 Years Only .. Unless want to do some modifications ..

That is NOT correct, nothing changed as for fitment. I also have a 14' FXDF and have had multiple seats on it while in search of the best one for me, including a seat off a new switchback. 06'+ dyna seats are what your looking for fitment. I will say that I've tried about 8-10 different seats and obviously some do fit better than others.
with all the seats you have ftried which one do you like the best?

I have a 2017 Low Rider seat on my 2009 Low Rider and we put my original 2009 seat on my brothers 2007 Super Glide. Everything matched up without issue. They are all FXD's so I would think the same would be true for your application.

I've also tried 6-8 solo seats on my 2015 Dyna. I like the Saddlemen Dominator by far. Great comfort and grip.

Just bought a 2004 fxdl and low stock on seats out there. Any ideas on what soft of modifications are needed to use a 2006+? How big of a difference is there?

I bought a Sundowner from a guy on Craigslist. He said it came off a 2006. I put it on my 2005 and it fit just fine. I keep hearing 04 and 05 are unique. Im curious if thats true.

Yeah the most i've found from other threads is that the 04-05 has a "longer tank". I think if there was a price difference, i'd be more motivated to go for it. Definitely appreciate the note though!
