problem dismounting wide glide michelin scorcher
the first shop showed me what was happening and basically if he moved the tire up over the rim and spun it, it would have destroyed the powder on my rim. the other just said he couldn't get it off. same with the last stop, but they tried again with 2 people. I'll check different shops next time. the one that got it was an Indian/victory dealer. 35 bucks and I supplied the tire, tube and band.
You're going to love that Night Dragon
Some shops don't have the right equipment to do the 21"; I've always had great luck with metric shops for tire changes, they seem more familiar with different wheels sizes since the metric manufacturers offer cruisers, sport bikes, and touring bikes. Check with the service departments at your local metric dealers, you should be able to find a good one for next time.Charging you $35 is a great price. They charge me $25 because I don't have them spin balance, I use Ride On in my tubed tires. You should try it, you'll like how smoothly the tires will balance. The 90/90-21 front will use 7 ounces in the tube for balancing and puncture sealing protection. Remove the stick on wheel weights; you'll be pleased with it. The rear 180/60-17 on the Wide Glide uses 14 ounces of Ride On.
Did you need to tweak the positioning of the front fender with the Night Dragon? When I first went to the 90/90-21 I loosened and re-positioned my front fender for a smooth fit to the tire...
