I'm wanting to change the spoked wheel on the rear of my 02 WG. I don't want to spend mega bucks. Is there a solid take off or exchange wheel from another model that will fit? It is a 16" wheel.
I was wanting to do the same w/the rear blk solid wheel common to the nighttrain. I would think any 16x3.5 stock wheel would do but I don't want to assume. - help?
The solid wheel off of a fatboy will work just fine. Make sure the wheel you buy is close to the same year as your WG. I believe they changed axle size to 1" in 99. Also check spacers so rear brake caliber lines up correctly. Should not be a problem and fairly inexpensive to change.
Buy the right year fatboy wheel and bolt it up, it is a direct swap. Look on E-bay, they go for about $50.00 each or less, depending on the condition. Should I say that I'm partial to the look?
