whats up guys, just wondering if i get some v and h straight shot slip ons if i would still have to get a stage one ait cleaner and fuel pak???? would i be abel to take out the baffles???? thanks
You will probably get replies saying yes, you at least need a fuel pack of some sory, and you will get replies saying no, the 02 sensors will compensate and it will run fine.
I have slip-ons which have no baffles. You can see straight through the mufflers. The Super Glide did fine when I installed them with no other modifications at all.
I think most will agree that you will be OK with just the mufflers. If you change to a higher flowing air cleaner, then you will need to change your fuel mixture.
I've got these pipes on my bike and didn't do any computer upgrades. I talked to a the local indy wrench and he said that the biggest difference I would notice by upgrading the computer is that the tone of the pipes would lower a bit more. The bike runs a bit on the lean side stock, so I'm sure doing the computer wouldn't hurt...but it's not nessecary. I didn't take the baffles out of mine...not really sure why you'd want to honestly. Sounds damn good and I can't see going through the trouble of removing them would be worth much on performance or sound.
If you get an aiR cleaner you'll need to get a computer upgrade...I'm not sure if a FuelPak would work for that mod or not.
Initially, I was going to order Vance & Hines straightshots for my '07 Street Bob. When I asked about whether EFI adjustments were necessary the guy at the local indy shop told me that a PCIII would be necessary if I didn't want popping and backfiring on de-accel (they also have a roving $dyno$ - which may figure into their answer). After reading some posts here I called Rush and asked about their 2" baffled slip ons. Was told that 2" and below do not require a dealer download if I wasn't adding a high-flow A/C. I emailed FuelMoto and they me told the same story...so I ordered them. Personally, I am not interested in adding any pig-backed fuel management system. When I add the new A/C I'll get the Stage 1 download.
you are gonna love those RUSH slip on H9ll. Got a pair and noticed the extra horsies right away not to mention the bitchin sound output. No ecm adjstment required unless the airflow is adjusted.rock the world bros.!!!
Yeah, I cannot wait to get them Mike... FuelMoto said 10-14 days as they are built to order. It was good posts from people like you that clued me into Rush.
