Edit:

I'll bet this "Sport Tourer" that was trademarked makes an appearance a 2017.5 release
I understand the wheels of the FLD are polarizing, but for me, having a cast rim with tubeless tires was a selling point.....not to mention, I think they look cool. Agree, dual disk brakes would have been better. I really like that the FLD does not look like a Heritage. I know I'll get flak for this, but to me, the Heritage is a Blue Oyster bike, whereas the FLD is a Steve McQueen Bullitt bike.

Very very curious to see what the Sport Glide will wind up being.

I agree I like the bike, but like every other bike it needs customizing. Haters are gonna hate regardless but I will never regret my purchase

I think it was one of the most underrated bikes to come out of harley for the last 15 years.

I absolutely LOVE my Switchback and love the fact that I don't see them every where I go.

There was so much you could do to a switchback to give it character. Harley just didn't put enough time into it. Changing the colors every year isn't going to change whether people like it or not.

Regardless I guess not enough people bought them.Numbers are numbers

Default I love mine, but...

I ride with a Roadking, a Streetglide, and a Roadglide, all are more comfortable for long distance. But with riders with more experience than me, not as "nimble". So the Switchback was a compromise, good but not great. It's for those of us that can't afford a different bike for every riding style. I'll keep mine, but, I'll upgrade when I retire for a big fat tourer to ride across the country.

I want an Ultra in the garage, because I have been adding some longer and longer trips this year.
But.... I do NOT want to give up my Switchback. It's the best bike ever.

It's funny, I'm not generally a fan, but that little decorative piece of chrome you put on the front end makes a world of difference. It looks very bland to me without it.

$1400 rentail difference, smaller bags. Smaller tank Less torque but lighter than a road King. My friend bought one as the test ride was great. Here came from a Heritage. Within weeks it just did not do it for him and he traded it for a Street Glide Special. I think he would have been happier with the heritage, but tank size and bag size were too limiting for those who touring and a superglide cruises oh so well and is just as good as a switchback for touring. Reason it was dropped, most customer wanted more for that cost. Dyna's are Dyna's and ought to stick to what they are great at. The riders I know who love theirs are women. The switchback was a solution in search of a question.

Completely disagree. Saying its limited for touring? get out of here. All I need for a 3,000 mile trip is my 2 saddle bags and a bag right behind me and I'm set. Not to mention 1 saddlebag is dedicated just to camera gear. Your buddy must be on the shorter side because I will never own a street glide because its so crammed riding wise. The switchback is so much more relaxed...and its faster.
