Got the OK from the Doc today. He said cut the grass, Go fishing ,and take a ride is all good. Going to see what I got this weekend. When I posted the question if you know when riding is over I didn't think I would get a lot of response saying ya give it up if you have some pain.
I got the answer I figured i would hear keep going till you can't. I do love riding and miss it almost a year now but I know as soon as I get out the drive its all good. If I feel like I need to downsize I will try a few smaller bikes out. And if it don't work out I know I tried.
Thanks
Charlie
Just take it easy and try to avoid big bumps. My son and I were riding in the country last weekend and there is a place in the middle of an otherwise decent road where a bunch of tree roots have buckled the pavement. We both hit that spot and both almost had tank slappers and fought to not crash!!! Me on a FXDC and him on a new 2017 SGS, It hurt my shoulder, back, and my arm that just recently had surgery. Even my healthy 33 Y/o son was in some pain when we got home.
Talked to the doctor he said to get back to doing things
I did before operation just be smart about it.he said shoulder
is good and would take a fall or heavy lift to hurt it again.
So I got out twice 1 hour then 2 hours shoulder felt good.
Other parts felt sore that was expected. Going out in the morning again.
Thanks for all the feedback.

I had a triple by-pass and cartiod cleaning four years ago and they keep telling me to get off the bike before I kill myself...stroke risk or bleed out from thinners.
I hear them. I understand what they are telling me. I know they are all just thinking about my health...but not my mental health.
As long as I can get on and ride, I will. When I cannot hold it up anymore, I will try to swing a three-wheeler, but I am gonna ride. If it is my fate to go out on my motorcycle, then it is what it is...something's gonna get us all and there ain't no escaping that fact.
So, you have to ask yourself one question...is living without riding really living?
