The long range plan is to first finish the other one, primarily with a chopped rear fender and some mechanical things that need to be done. The old one has 65,000 miles on it and it's getting pretty squirrley. New motor mounts at least, and possibly stabilizers.

The reason I got the new one is that I really missed the way the old one rode and handled before I did the FL conversion. I've ridden the FL converted one on 3 long trips now, and it's OK, but I really prefer a more stock Dyna for touring.

With that in mind, when I get to it, I'll relocate the rear signals so I can put my detachable backrest/rack on it to accommodate my sissy bar bag. I'll also put some 12" T-bars on it. In 32 years of street riding, those T-bars that were on my Streetbob were the most comfortable bars I ever had. After that we'll see, but it will probably end up like my Streetbob was right before I did the FL conversion.

I definitely plan on keeping both of them.

Nice bike sir! But then again, I am slightly biased. Enjoy it and good luck!

Great find and good on you for having the patience to wait for that special bike that only comes around once a year
I'm also on a superglide custom, for me it was a 2011 $8k with 8k miles on it. Its been my first harley and its just an amazing bike. Distance riding is no problem, bar hopping no problem, the superglides are very appealing, look fantastic and it keeps you riding with that just another mile or two until I go home feeling.

Who do you like for the Tbars? I'm at that point now but too many options out there

I have to be honest and say I don't know what brand my previous ones were. I bought them used at a swap meet. They had 12" straight risers, were an inch and a quarter in diameter (I think) and had almost no pullback in the handlebar portion. Almost a broomstick bar. I've got really long arms for my height, so I've been using drag bars since the 1980's, and I kept getting taller and taller risers as I got older, until I got these. I'm just going to have to look to find some bars that are built the same way.

Has dyna, puts touring front end on it, buys another dyna because he likes the dyna front end for touring. That's hilarious to me. I don't mean that is a ******** way either. I agree with you and your other dyna came out great. Its just ironic.

The new superglide looks sharp though. I'd love to be able to pick one up for a good deal. If I had to buy bars over again I'd go with luck dave's but I like the MXT style. I have Santee's t bars on mine now and I wish they had a little less pull back.
