Alright folks. Ive scanned the forums and i had some issue finding a thread discussing suspension upgrades for an 03 dyna superglide. Now i am also keeping in mind any limitations that would ultimately result in either uprgading to a larger bike or sucking it the heck up. I have stock suspension on my anniversary. I am a lifter and so is my GF, with the two of us im hauling 400lbs as is, yes i am the majority of it by alot. Add weight in the little bags i have and ill tell ya what side of the coin i rode over if i hit one. So.... rear and front suspension, can i even get something that will do the job? If so what direction do i look? and how mamy of my children will it cost? Thanks yall.
It a mid priced suspension that performs really well (I sound like a damn commercial)
In your case - go with heavy duty springs
It'll take some trial and error to get the front preload set..., then a wee bit more to set the rear - but once set - it works
Cost:
$100.00 for the front springs.., + new oil / seals / bushings / PVC (PVC is for preload spacers)..., plan on a complete rebuild of the front for a solid baseline - it ain't hard
I just rebuilt and put in Progressive springs a couple weeks ago and it cost me closer to $150 for the springs, oil, and OEM kits...
I paid $77 for the spring kit on Amazon, the lowest price I could find that day, and the kit comes with the washers and pvc spacers, $18.35 including sales tax for a quart of Bel-Ray 20W fork oil at a local indy, and $52 including shipping and sales tax for the MoCo rebuild kits from Surdyke...
Impressive results...and the heavier viscosity oil definitely makes the front stiffer but it handles great and it does not bottom out on hard braking, big bumps, and it doesn't dive when I shift hard..
Outstanding. Ghost and Skinman both i appreciate the information. Ill be looking into these items and ill be happy to share the results once its all done. Thank you very much.

They are right about the Heavy duty suspension. I purchased and installed on my 2003 Dyna the Progressive 412 shocks. I also replaced the fork springs and oil. I love the ride solo and two up.
