you know, i looked at my bob tonight and noticed the same droop. i'm hoping it's as simple as loosening both muffler clamps and giving a lift. i'll give it a shot tomorrow.

I've screwed around with mine some and haven't accomplished much. The front slip-on supports the rear slip-on and I hate to do anything with the pipes coming from the head for fear of an exhaust leak at the head. The eleven inch shocks raise the swingarm so the pipes are pointing down hill anyway.

Good Luck

Tom

i loosened everthing and gently pulled them up some but they are still pointing down some but not as bad as they were be careful you can cause a leak at the head if your too aggressive

Oh, I ain't jacking with mine! I was just wondering if anyone else noticed, or if it was just me. I was thinking maybe there was a dealer fix or a kit or something...? But seriously, you can even look at the promotional pictures on Harley's website of the bikes, and even those have the DMS (Drooping Muffler Syndrome). So, I don't think it's a problem, just looks kind of odd once you notice it. And once you notice it, you see it every time you look at your bike.

indeed, mine does the same thing on my '07 bob....there have been posts like this in the past...i actually started one about 2 months ago....it's a typical thing with slip-ons, actually....and it's compounded by low riders and streetbobs having lower shocks because lower shocks (especially prog 11 inch and 11.5 inch) will lift the swingarm....the only real solution is to get a one piece system...which i will be doing at my 1k service

Mine is probably compounded with my large self sitting on the thing.

yah, staring at the bike and noticing stuff like that will drive you mad.... at least a one piece system will make the lines more consistent

you're a big boy, too....lol

One thing to keep in mind (believe me, I know from experience), you can only torque the exhaust clampsa dozen or so times before they wear out - I switch between my stock SEII and BCT baffles every other week. My front clamp is shot; will not fully tighten any more...gotsta gets somer new ones!
