So I am not sure what the hell is happening. Here is a little background. I have had the bike sitting for about a month without being run, I decided to try and crank it, i hit my on/off switch, then the the ECU on/off switch on my handlebars and everything was fine the bike came on as per usual.
I hit the starter button and the battery didnt have enough to turn the starter and the bike died.
NO problem, I put the tender on the bike and left it for a couple days.
Today I go outside and see the tender is green, I hit the on switch and i get my speedo flashing on and off, almost like it is turning on then off then on then off, I pull my brake and the lights flash rapidly for as long as I am holding the brake. Anyone have any idea where I can start to look, checked wiring on the on/off switch but thats about it. Thanks for the help!
My first thought; that battery is gone, deceased, shuffled off this mortal coil, it's a non-parrot.
The Tender showing green doesn't mean much if the battery has a dead cell and has no CCA; I'd be replacing the battery with a Yuasa GYZ20HL personally; I'll bet those issues are taken care of right after that
Glad that's all it was The HD/Deka batteries can really be hit or miss. On some I've gotten 2 -3 years and on others, like the Deka I just pulled out of my bike, 15 months; as the temperature started to drop the hard starts began, and that from a battery that lived its life on Tender. I've never had a battery related issue on my sport bikes, you couldn't kill those Yuasa batteries which is why I've gone to the GYZ20HL. Fits in the box properly, it's an AGM battery with 310 CCA, and it's made in America
