I got my d and d fat cat cat on yesterday and all I can say is wow! That's one bad *** pipe. Honestly, I cant believe what difference it made in the way my bike runs. Bottom end is way better and the rest of the rpm range seems stronger. No popping at all.
From the seat it sounds like I've always wanted the bike to sound... mellow rumbly and a huge bark when you hit the gas. Everyone I rode with last night said the same thing hearing it away from the bike. One comment was that it's not stupid loud but it sounds BIG.
My D&D fat cat is going on this week as is my proper open air cleaner (big sucker). I'm thinking about doing Andrews 57 cams soon. Just looking for feedback on this set up. Only barrier for me is I'm still under factory warranty.
i remember flat out hating my dyna befor the stage 1. totally different bike after that, in terms of throttle response and kick anyway. even moreso after moving to bassani 2-1. he just leapfrogged straight to 2-1 stage 1. it's pretty safe to say it's not in his head.
Yea the placebo thing aside, I have a fat cat on my lrs. I bought it for 2 reasons after a lot of research and talking to others who have them. They perform great, they sound great. I think it's common knowledge that 2-1 systems are going to increase both low end performance and noise.
More noise is perceived to be "more power" when often, it is actually less...
Not sure if he was referring to the D&D pipe.I could be wrong.
Everybody knows it's one of the best out there. Though I've heard a bit on the heavy side.
To my surprise, a lot of people don't like the fat cat. I ****in love it. Can't wait to hear it with a built motor. If anyone has one on a 124, I'd be interested to hear it
