Default LED Light Bar

I tried to do some searching on this because I figured someone would have already asked this but had no luck.

For 25 or 30 bucks you can't really beat one of the speed kings/moons or whatever else brand for some extra light. I know I love my speed kings LED headlight.

I was wondering the process involved in wiring it up. Did you wire it into your high beam? Did you run a separate switch, if so where did you mount it? Or did you do something completely different?

I'll be putting it on a 15 FXDB

I appreciate the help!

I directly wired it into the headlight power without a switch, so it is on all the time but I am considering adding a switch but haven't decided yet

I bought mine from amazon for like 11$ with prime shipping

That's a good idea. Are they fairly bright?

I wired mine to a push button switch under the front left side of the seat, It does help at night and is more noticeable than the headlight

I did the Harley pigtail since I didn't want to cut any factory wires. I ran my wire inside of the frame and out the right side at the neck and down the break line to the light.

I wired it direct to the high-beam wires, inside the headlight shell, using posi-taps.

Took about five minutes. The posi-tap means that you don't need to cut wires, and they can be removed with no damage to the wires (the pinhole in the sheathing closes up but I put a drop of silicone just in case).

Yeah they are really bright and look way better than standard fog lights.

EDIT! I realized the link to the wire harness wasn't the right one. I was trying to copy and past from my phone on two different windows. It should be fixed.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-lightbar.html

I started a treadmill similar a while back. I got a relay with separate switch. I added the switch to the left side of the dash. Ran the wires under the dash and seat. They're really long so I cut and spliced them. Turned out really clean.

I thought I had pictures of it, but I don't. WRKD4ITFLHX2008 posted a picture on my thread of his push button which is where I put mine but I used a toggle light up switch.

This is the light harness/relay I got

This is the switch I have

This is the light I bought. It's kind of pricy but it's one of the brightest out there.

I'll try and post some pics soon. Good luck.

I wired mine to a switch I added to the console. I think I have it in my build thread
