SPARK PLUG WIRES
THIS PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS I'VE BEEN HAVING SOME TROUBLE WITH MY 2000 WIDE GLIDE. I WAS RIDING ON THE ORTEGA HWY IN ORANGE COUNTY, CA AND MY REAR SPARK PLUG WIRE CAME COMPLETELY OFF THE SPARK PLUG AND MADE ME LOSE A GOOD MAJORITY OF MY MOMENTUM I HAD. SO AFTER THAT I REPLACED BOTH SPARK PLUGS HOPING THAT WOULD OF SOLVED IT. AND THEN YESTERDAY I WAS OUT RIDING WITH A BUDDY OF MINE IN LONG BEACH, CA AND I WAS RIDING UP THE VINCENT THOMAS BRIDGE AND ABOUT HALF WAY UP THE DAMN PLUG CAME OFF AGAIN, SO NOW I COMPLETELY CHANGED EVERYTHING OUT. HAS THIS TYPE OF INCIDENT HAPPENED TO ANYBODY ELSE. IT JUST SEEMS LIKE I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT EVERY WEEK. JUST A LITTLE FRUSTRATED I GUESS.

Hasn't happened to me, but I am interested in changing my wires. What type have you used? Thundervolt have a pretty good wrap. Apparently the 8.4mm have the same core as the 10mm race jobbies.
Anyone else got any feedback? I started a thread in tech section, but no response!

Got me a set of blue Taylors last week from my indy guy. Not quite the exact color I was looking for but they are better than the stock ones.

Cool Jay, you seem to be ticking a few boxes? Starting to put your mark on her. Looking good man.
I have a box of shiney stuf to put on mine, but the pipes and A/C will have to wait for a while due to the new arrival of 1st baby!

If the plug wires are coming/falling off......take a needle nose pliers and "pinch" the metal prongs inside the boot together so they fit tighter on the plug.
