Does anyone know if I can use an 06 fxdb headlight bucket with my 14 fxdl headlight? I am running the dk customs headlight relocation kit, but honestly its not that great. the bolts are starting to come loose, and it does not work well if you want to mount a fairing. I want to fun the stock fxdb headlight bucket (bottom mount) but I want to make sure I an swap my headlight in to it....let me know, Thanks.
It looks like they both use headlight lamp assembly 68297-05. It shows that assembly going into both types of headlight bucket.
I was thinking of using that same relocation kit for my low rider so I could use regular handlebar risers. I might rethink that if that kit isn't working real good for you.
If you buy a bucket only the adapter ring can be expensive, Harley has some for less than $10.00, The other one cost a little over $40.00. I bought a complete bottom mount headlight off of Ebay & it was missing the adapter ring. seller split the cost of the new one with me. I put the bottom mount headlight with the Memphis Shades Gauntlet fairing using the Memphis Shades mounting block on my 2004 Dyna Low
Cheers Bob
