Default Fp3 mounting

Finally broke down and bought a fuel pack 3 just wondering where ya guys who are keeping em on the bike are mounting them?

it fits inside the left side cover where the plug for the fuelpak/diagnostic is. I just pushed mine in there, no issues.

i agree, you shouldn't have to actually mount the fp3 at all.

I just wrapped up the foam that comes with the fuelpak and taped it to the inside of the cover, kind of hold it in place, works well.

Time out. The FP 3 doesn't stay connected to the bike. You download the map using your mobile device and put it away. Did something change since I bought one a couple of years ago?

I guess I should have expanded on my reply, I have ridden with my fp3 connected to recalibrate my speedometer and to observe rpms,also I ran an auto tune for comparison,

Actually the FP3 can stay with the bike if you want to use it to monitor other engine instrumentation. Yes, most people will do a tune and remove it from the bike.

I always keep mine connected so I can monitor various sensor data. I just shove it inside the cover and leave it be. Worked fine for over a year that way.

I leave mine pluged in under the seat on my Dyna. Never had a problem.
